Mary Slessor tomb

Located at the Mission Hill Cemetery on Anderson
Street, the tomb of Mary Slessor is clearly the
most sought-after grave in the city. The cemetery
is owned by the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria,
the missionary organisation that Slessor worked
for. The church set aside the cemetery for the
burial of missionaries of repute that worked for it.
The tomb is also the most conspicuous in the
quiet burial ground which overlooks the Calabar
River.
